I grew up with an animal loving Mother, and Dad was outnumbered, so we had cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, birds, chickens and a snake.

It stands to reason that with my own children we’ve run the gamut from pigeons to a Golden Retriever who was a breeder for Canine Companions for Independence. In 6 years she gave birth to 44 puppies who were raised to become service dogs.

Animal lovers are their own special breed.
